Previously, Barsali was the Deputy Director of Industry Research at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the renowned forecasting and advisory arm of The Economist Group. In this global role, she led EIU’s consumer and retail analysis and guided a team in shaping the EIU's forecasts across 60 markets. Barsali also led the EIU's renowned Global Liveability Index, a key benchmark for assessing urban living conditions worldwide.
She is the author of a book on the implications of AI adoption for the Indian economy, businesses and consumers.
