Dato' Mohd Izani has over 30 years of experience in investment and management, with a distinguished career spanning leadership roles across various industries. In 2024, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad. Prior to this, he served as Managing Director of UEM Group Berhad, a position he held from 2019.

Earlier in his career, Dato' Mohd Izani served as Executive Director of Investments at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund, where he also led the Turkiye Regional Office and spearheaded several landmark sukuk transactions as Chief Financial Officer. His extensive experience includes key roles at Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd and Renong Group.

He currently serves as a Trustee of the Capital Market Development Fund, a board member of Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), and serves on the boards of several subsidiaries within Malaysia Airports. Additionally, he is a member of the advisory council of Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad.

Dato' Mohd Izani holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, specialising in Accounting and Finance, from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF).
